Eric DOLPHY 1964

Those albums have always been known as the Eric Dolphy's last recordings...
They all have the same title "Last Date" and the same track listing : Epistrophy, South street exit, Madrig speaks the panther walks, Hypochristmutreefuzz, You don't know what love is and Miss Ann.

In fact, they are not Dolphy's last recordings. One day after he recorded the above mentioned tracks with Dutch musicians in Hilversum, he left for Paris to work with his american colleagues Nathan DAVIS and Donald BYRD and a french rhythm group Jacque DIEVAL p, Jacques HESS b, Franco MANZECCHI dr, Jacky BAMBOU congas on 2 & 3.

This is the first time the real "Last Date" has been released on West Wind label.
