Inez Foxx born 1942, Greensboro, NC, and brother Charlie Foxx born 1939, Greensboro, NC. This brother/sister duo from Greensboro made a little noise on the soul scene in the 60's. Their biggest hit was Mockingbird in 1963. Their vocal tradeoffs and arrangement were primarily responsible for its appeal, though Foxx could do some sizzling numbers on her own. But her solo songs didn't generate much interest in the early and mid-'70s. James Taylor and Carly Simon later did a cover of "Mockingbird."
