I always enjoyed his sideman/section work , so I was eager to hear this album . In short , I like this album , largely because of Richardson's baritone and flute playing . George Tucker has one of the great sounds on the bass ( listen to him all the way through the blues track "Friar Tuck" ) . Richard Wyands sounded like Sonny Clark at times , and at others , like Red Garland ; styles I like ( The piano was really well recorded ) . Persip was his usual tasteful self .
Now looking forward to hearing Midnight Oil .
