O.K. I usually like players who inhabit their own sonic world , and this does sound like Miles meets Prez , but I do like it . I would have enjoyed it a lot less without Puma and Waldron . As a Holiday accompanist , Waldron was a good choice for this tribute album . Waldron at this time seemed to combine the dark harmonies of Monk/Weston with the single-note right hand of Silver . I really enjoyed the first track , which has a poignant folk song-like melody .
By the way , the album cover is one of the best by Esmond Edwards who just died last week .

Amazing album !!! I did not know Webster Young and now I cannot live with listening to this daily !! any other album of this giant ?? Thanks so much for your great posts.
