Lil GREENWOOD : Complete CD
Born 1924 in Pritchard, Alabama, Lil Greenwood would come pretty close to the top of the list of R&B artists who have enjoyed some recognition during the 50's. After the R&B period, Lil was Ellington's band singer between 1958 and 1960. She is featured on Ellington's album My People. He said of her "the girl's so clean livin' she don't even wink at the bandleader!".
In this cd, we have all the recordings made for Modern and Federal labels between 1950 and 1954.
