I became a fan of Teddi King when I heard Miss Teddi King lp. Thanks for sharing.
Miss Teddi King 1954 is a great album. Her recordings on Storyville are so hard to find. I notice that this album is basically a jazz album from the instrumentation to the song selection. Love is a now and then thing, It's All In The Mind, and Spring Won't Be Around This Season sound, to me, like timeless standards, yet I am not aware of anyone singing these songs except for Teddi King. I contacted the company owner who released the anthology of her early years regarding the compilation of her RCA Singles that was never released but mentioned in the liner notes. He said that a merger with Sony caused it to be lost in the shuffle. He said he would release himself but he does not have clean copies of the RCA singles.
